D

dead dove / dɛd dʌv / phrase · content tag

A content tag meaning exactly what it says, no surprises. Whatever dark or uncomfortable thing is described is really in there, and it's the point, not a twist that gets softened later. It comes from a joke in Arrested Development (a paper bag in the fridge labeled "dead dove — do not eat"), and fandom spaces adopted it as a warning label. Here, 🕊 dead dove marks posts that go somewhere heavy, so you can decide if you're up for it first.

in the wild

"dead dove: do not eat" — you were told what's in the bag.

More entries incoming — this thing is a work in progress, just like everything else around here.
